Reggae Music Poster

A class project I created a music poster for this competition for the Reggae Hall Of Fame. The inspiration behind this concept comes from the religion Rastafarianism. Bob Marley was a prominent figure and was known for his beliefs of making it to the promised land paradise.

The Concept

The Planet = Paradise.
Colors = Green represents the African land. Yellow represents the wealth of Africa.
Red represents the blood of the African people
Atmospheric Haze = Marijuana. The Rastafari smoked marijuana in their discussion groups as a means of gaining a further connection with their religion. The smoking of marijuana was encouraged in the Bible to heighten ones state of mind to connect with the higher power.
